Reston Residence
COMPLETED 2022
The Story
A mudslide would be the best way to describe the access to the Client’s pool at their home in Reston. The newly designed stone stair acts as a drainage way and is thickly planted with shade and beech-tolerant plantings. This work prompted a rethinking of the plantings around the entire house, with special consideration given for the pool and lake edges, where entirely native pollinator plantings make it so that there is always something in bloom from spring to fall.
